The training plan target races will be:
- MILWAUKEE MARATHON and half marathon on 4/11/20
The LRC aligns our winter schedule to compliment these plans:
- Wednesday 6:30pm speed workouts (at the hottest spots on the coldest nights)
- Saturday 7:00am long runs (from Libertyville Metra Station)
Nothing is better at making you a stronger runner than running with other people! Gatorade, water, and snacks will be supplied at Saturday runs. We will be posting details about each of these runs to our Facebook group page so join HERE if you haven’t already.
These plans are culled from MY EXPERIENCE (that link is a blog about my 50-state marathon experience) utilizing many different training plans over the course of training for and completing 70+ marathons on all terrains in conjunction with helping many runners to enjoy the experience through 7+ years of creating and operating more attentive and community-driven run clubs. With all that experience, you know what I’ve learned? If it ain’t fun, YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG!
